#1 – Our First Month as SuperCreators

April comes to an end as our first month working on SuperCreators. Here's what happened:

#1 – Our First Month as SuperCreators

Ondra: Linette, what is your favorite thing we did in April?

Linette: That's a tough question! We are having so much fun with every idea that comes to life. If I have to pick one, it would be our first podcast. I remember telling you about the idea of “getting to know the people who will be raising your children for a little bit” and I love that the podcast truly reflects ourselves, how we think about trends in education, the role of technology in it and our approach. But it also sheds some light on our life, our creative process and the meaning of creativity in general. It’s our first try but I am very proud of it. :) What about you?

Ondra: The pistachio cheesecake.

Linette: Ok. :D

Ondra: Oh, you mean at work. I think it’s the podcast for me too. Mostly because it was the most challenging. When we talk normally, we switch between Czech and English all the time, but we have never talked in just English for hours like this. So that was a new experience. I think you can tell our English is a little rusty there, but I am proud we made it and just put it out there.

Our first podcast

Ondra: What else did we do?

Linette: Apart from the food? I love the positive feedback we are getting on the self-assessment. The quiz is there to help parents understand their child’s Digital Creator Level and give useful tips to help support them on the journey. But we haven’t stopped there, for those who are super keen, we create a free personalized report with in-depth insights and suggestions for special tools.

Linette: Cool isn’t it?

Ondra: Too cool to handle. We also wrote some articles. I wrote about the idea of raising creators instead of just consumers, and about how we can use the obsession kids have with games to turn players into creators.

Ondra: Also, you 3D-printed some super-cool figurines I’m looking at on the shelf right now. Tell me how you came up with that idea…

Linette: There is this funny trend where everyone is trying to recreate themselves into action figures using ChatGPT. I saw it first on LinkedIn, found it to be cute but I felt like it had so much more potential. I have researched a bit and found that there is an AI tool that can convert pictures into 3D. So I got to let AI generate our action figurines, then convert the figurines into 3D objects and print them out. The finishing look is hand made. It’s a good example of co-creating with technologies. I will be running a workshop on this for children soon. Imagine the toys and the playing pieces they will create!? I cannot wait!

Linette: You are also planning an exciting workshop, right?

Ondra: Yes! I want to give little gamers the tools they need to start creating their own games. I’ll do an online game design workshop for kids where everybody designs their own simple card game they can print at home and play with friends. And most importantly: They’ll learn the basics of game design, so they can start creating other games on their own. I'm very excited for this one.

Ondra: Is that all for this month? Ok. How would you describe it in 3 words?

Linette: 3 words? Hm… Great. Pistachio. Cheesecake.

Ondra: I was about to say that! :D Ok then. Putting my serious hat on: Firsts, Games and Figurines.

Linette: That’s all from our first month then. Have a great day everyone! And if you’re enjoying our work, please share it with a friend.

Ondra: Bye!
